Innovation for the
Precision Medical
Device Market

Medikai Innováció Kft (MEI) is a research and development company focusing on projects that challenges the medical technology field today. MEI has strong research and development partnership with the University of Debrecen and other national and international industrial and scientific institutions. Experts at MEI have been involved in the installation, operation, and devepoment of the RGS stereotactic radiosurgery sytem at the University of Debrecen, Hungary. Past innovative efforts included the modeling and demonstration of a dose high-contrast irradiation algorithm of the RGS.

MEI has been awarded multiple European Union backed Hungarian grants including the recent (GINOP-2.1.1.) Research+Development+Innovation grant. The latter project started in 2017 and was completed in the summer of 2020 with producing a prototype radiosurgery device.

MEI has professional connections with industrial and research and development partners in Europe, the United States, and China.

SRS Treatment Planning

The Treatment Planning System (TPS) is a computer based software system provides the tools necessary to perform a complete range of treatment planning tasks, from image registration, target and critical structure delineation, through dose optimization, calculation and plan review. The TPS uses measured beam data imported into the data management system to accurately calculate dose in a patient’s treatment plan.

Image Guidance

Image Guiding System provides on-board and “real time” patient tumor position verification and tracking during treatment.

Robotic Control

With the increasing dose conformity achieved in modern radiation therapy techniques the requirements on the accuracy of patient positioning are becoming more and more critical. Robotic patient positioning tables consists of a dedicated robot with integrated patient table top and position feedback system can provide new level of accuracy for stereotactic radiosurgery.
